![]() The effects are different depending on when you decide to use your heavy attack and empty your meter: you can juggle enemies and slam them back down to the ground, slice back and forth between multiple enemies, or smack them prone. Using your light attack, you can build up your charge meter to then unleash a heavy attack combo. Combos for the most part are easy to pull off. In its brightest moments, it felt akin to the Arkham games, where you bounce back and forth between enemies, coming out unscathed. What matters is the combat, and thankfully that works pretty well here.Ĭombat is quick and fluid with Clan N. While the decision to not include this information in-game is an odd one to say the least, as I mentioned, story in a beat ‘em up game isn’t important. It seems like it could have been an easy thing to add this information to the character select screen, and that would have helped to give the world that you fight through a bit more character. You even get some backstory for each of the four characters you can play as, and their relationships with each other. For a game like this, you don’t need a deep story, but I found it wild that when you head to the Steam store page, you get all of this information about spiritual imbalance, dark powers and conquest. When you open up the game, a short cutscene plays showing what looks like an evil sorcerer destroying a town, and then you are off to seek vengeance. Punish on whiff.The story of Clan N is almost non-existent, at least from what you as the player can see. Thief/ Stove Face/ Peasant/ Civilian/ Open-Faced Gray Knightĭoesn't have an offensive Splash Attack, punish on whiff. His Air Projectile is the same as his Splash Attack, which could lead to a confirm. ![]() Restrict Bear's options to several 50/50s. Magic Projectile and Air Projectile have the ability to reset, so watch out for them. Watch out for his Magic Projectile and Air Projectile because they are the fastest in the game. Restrict Necromancer's options to a 50/50. Air Projectile and Magic Projectile can Critical Strike and can be converted to a reset. Splash Attack has long range and comes out quickly. Watch out for his Magic Projectile because it is unblockable. Restrict Saracen's options, to several 50/50s. Be sure to move around a lot to counter act his tools. Once Blue Knight has you in a reset, you're done. Orange Knight has a fast Splash Attack with long range leading to some good confirms. Orange Knight is an underrated character in Arena. ![]() His game plan is rivaled only by his unlock, the Fire Demon. Overall, Orange Knight is one of the easiest characters to pick up and learn. The top 5 Animal Orbs in Snoot, Burly Bear, Hawkster, Piggy, and BiPolar Bear will suffice. Use a Magic heavy weapon that does not reduce Strength. To take advantage of Orange Knight's Magic, attribute to Agility first, and then Magic. He also arguably has the greatest Unlock Path, rivaled only by Blue Knight. With all of this in mind, Orange Knight is considered to be one of the best characters in the game, in the same leagues as Fencer, Industrialist, Blue Knight, Iceskimo, and Fire Demon. Unlike the aforementioned Pink Knight and, to a lesser extant, the Blue Knight, Orange Knight has the least expensive Splash Attack in the game, along with the Fencer, Brute, etc. Orange Knight, boasts one of the longest Splash Attack ranges out of any characters in the game, along with Pink Knight's "Rainbow Chain" Splash Attack. Cult Minions are immune to any elemental effect and take minuscule damage, however, this can be taken advantage of. ![]() Fire Demons resist the knockback from all fire attacks. ( Stove Face, Royal Guards, and Coneheads). In addition to that, fire deals full knockback to all heavyweight enemies. Some of the enemies weak to fire include: Barbarians, the Barbarian Boss, Trolls, Bears, Royal Guards, Stove Faces, Fish Men, Snakeys, Iceskimos, Frost King, and Undead Cyclops. Fire has one hit of damage over time, but unlike poison, over half of the enemies are weak to it. Leaps up with yellow flame with black smoke billowing out below, lighting adjacent enemies on fire. Orange Knight is one of the King's Knights, to whom he serves with loyalty, helping to get the princesses back and defeating the Evil Wizard. When injured, he can be seen crying or closing his eyes, mouth open. In his portrait, his tunic/armor is themed with fire of lighter and darker colors He is usually portrayed as the most happy out of the knights.
